DRAFT — NOT YET REVIEWED BY A LAWYER
This document is a starting point drafted to cover the obvious ground. It is not legal advice and it has not been reviewed by a qualified adviser. Have a solicitor check it against how EasyRetale actually operates before relying on it, and delete this notice once they have.
Acceptable use policy
Last updated 21 July 2026
The principle
EasyRetale is a tool for running a shop. This policy exists so that one account cannot degrade the service, or the reputation of the platform, for everyone else.
You must not
- Use the service for anything unlawful, or to sell goods you are not licensed to sell.
- Sell age-restricted goods through the storefront without an adequate age-verification process of your own.
- Publish content on your shop page that is illegal, deceptive, or infringes someone else’s rights.
- Send marketing to people who have not consented, or ignore an opt-out.
- Attempt to access another business’s data, or probe, scan or test the security of the service without written permission.
- Reverse engineer the service, or resell access without an agreement.
- Automate the API in a way that degrades performance for others.
- Upload malware, or content that is obscene or promotes hatred or violence.
Security research
We welcome reports of genuine vulnerabilities. Email security@easyretale.com with enough detail to reproduce the issue. Give us reasonable time to fix it before disclosing publicly, and do not access data belonging to anyone else while testing. We will not pursue researchers who follow this in good faith.
What happens if this is breached
Where practical we contact you first and give you a chance to put things right. For serious breaches — anything unlawful, or a threat to other customers’ data — we may suspend an account immediately. We will always tell you why.
Reporting a problem
To report misuse of a shop running on EasyRetale, email abuse@easyretale.com with the shop address and what you have seen. Note that the retailer is responsible for their own listings and customer data; where an issue is theirs to resolve we will pass it to them.
